Dinner for Nine
Dinner for Nine This AprilDinner for Nine This April, we are launching another “Dinner for Nine” campaign. Dinner for Nine involves all of us meeting in groups of nine for a potluck dinner. This is a one-time get-together and is a wonderful way for us to grow in our core value of Relationships. We are encouraging every adult at Meadowbrook to participate in this fun event sometime between April 8 – 25. We would like to encourage your “Dinner for Nine” to be an adult only gathering; please make child care arrangements for this one-time event. In just a few weeks we will have sign-up sheets at a display table in the commons area with different hosts* and meeting times. We encourage you to look for a group who you are relatively unfamiliar with. Everyone in the group will be asked to bring a dish to share as coordinated by the dinner host. We believe everyone will find this evening very meaningful in the life of our church. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Kent. *Please let Pastor Kent know if you are willing to host a “Dinner for Nine.”

Men’s Fraternity
The Great Adventure explores a man and his world beyond the everyday. The video study and small group discussion puts the roof on the house of masculinity and creates a vision for a man’s future and destiny. This study will help men rediscover the adventure in life through a greater understanding of who they are. Men will uncover the uniqueness they have as a man and discover a satisfying life focus. Never has another manhood curriculum challenged men to live life to the fullest. It will take them on a journey that leads to significant personal discoveries about whom they are and where they are going in life. Join Matt Linsner as he leads this life changing class on Wednesdays at 6:30pm in room 150 beginning February 3.
DivorceCare
It takes a long time and a lot of work to heal the pain that comes from the breakup of a marriage. DivorceCare is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are separated or divorced. If someone you know is going through a divorce, make sure he or she knows about DivorceCare. It just might be the best thing you could do to help.
Beginning February 3, Meadowbrook will be offering DivorceCare on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm in room 133. A participant guide containing a note taking section, a daily personal Bible study, insights from prominent Christian leaders, a recommended reading list and other informative resources is available for $20 (the workbook is optional, but highly recommended). The group will be lead by Ron and Debbie Bailey.
GriefShare
GriefShare is a special weekly seminar and support group for people grieving the death of someone close. It is a place where you can be around people who understand how you feel and the pain of your loss. At Grief Share, you will learn valuable information that will help you through this difficult time in your life. GriefShare will meet on Thursdays, 6:30-8:15pm, for eight weeks, beginning February 18. Workbooks are optional and cost $15 each.
Fusion
MCC’s College Aged Ministry
On Tuesdays at 7:00pm (off site)
Bring your friends!
Join us! We meet every Tuesday night at 7:00pm. We look forward to seeing how God will speak to us, lead us, and move us. We echo our mantra that as a Fusion group, we desire to learn together, laugh together and grow together.
Imagine what God can do through you at Parkland College, the U of I, or another area college. Paul and Silas, two men, caused a huge uproar in Thessalonica by preaching Christ in Acts 17:6 “These men that have set the world in tumult, are come here also!” (Darby translation)
We will be doing topic driven studies throughout God’s Word, video series, game nights, weekend conference outings, and having a great time of fellowship through it all.
Feel free to contact the church, 351-3019, for more information.
