Our Core Values

Early in 2003 our congregation was presented with the core values of Meadowbrook as identified by a strategic planning committee. These values speak to what is most important in our church’s life. Our core values are:

Worship
We pursue a personal and corporate encounter with God.
Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind,’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:37
Relationships
We partner with others in our spiritual journey with Christ.
“Two are better than one, because theu have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Ministry
We serve others with the heart of Christ through our gifts and talents.
“We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.” Romans 12:6-8
Growth
We strive to know and become like Christ.
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever!” Amen. II Peter 3:18
Outreach
We transform our community and world by the power of the Holy Spirit.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8
